1. What do I need to do first? One of the first things you will need is a domain name. If you want us to purchase this for you we can. The fee is $25 plus the cost of the domain name which is generally $20 per year.

2. What is a domain name? Your domain name is your web site address that is listed after the www. and ends in .com (.net, .org). An example of a domain name is the highlighted portion of this web address: www.designsbykarenflowers.com.

3. Why do I need a web host for my web site? You can not publish (put your site on the internet for people to view) if you do not have a place to do so. Hosting companies provide the space you need for world wide viewing of your site.

4. Do you provide hosting services? Yes, we provide hosting services to our clients through Pair. Go to our Web Design Price page for Hosting Fees.

5. What is a a web server? A web server is a company that provides hosting services. Many times web servers provide domain names, too.

6. What software do you use for creating web sites? We use Yahoo® Sitebuilder or Dreamweaver®. You may want to wait to make your software selection until after you have heard the advantages and disadvantages of using each program.

7. What is a web page? A web page is a text document published to your web server that includes links (hyperlinks), HTML tags, text and/or graphics. A web page is one page in a web site.

8. What is a web site? A web site is a collection of web pages that share a common theme and purpose. Usually web pages are accessed through the site's home page.

9. What is the home page? The home page is the web page that you click on to access a site. Your home page contains your URL (web address of home page).

10. What will you need to build my web site? We will need your web site content (text and graphics) before we start your web site.

11. Will you write the content for me so I can have it written by a professional promotional writer? Yes, we will write the content for you. Check our web pricing page for the cost of this service.

12. How long will it take to complete my project? Most of the time we are waiting for clients to get back to us. As we work on your project, we will be calling and/or emailing you to give you a progress report or to request more information. The sooner you are able to get back to us, the sooner we can complete your project. We will put your project for a limited time in our test web site and email you a link so you can view it.

13. What if the project isn’t meeting my expectations? We will halt the direction the project is going and listen to your needs and wishes. Client satisfaction is our ultimate goal.

14. Is there a service agreement to sign? You will need to sign our Service Agreement form before we begin work on your project. You can sign the form and mail it to us or state your agreement via e-mail.

15. What payment methods are accepted? For payment, we accept Cash, Money Orders, Checks, Visa, Discover, PayPal, American Express, and MasterCard.
